J. Thomas Ratchford, Jr.

J. Thomas Ratchford serves as President of WebRoomz, an application software company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia that develops enterprise level, web-based solutions for student housing management organizations.

Before WebRoomz, Mr. Ratchford served as Senior Vice President for Corporate Development at WebTone Technologies where he managed a variety of corporate and business development activities as well as the formulation and execution of strategic partnerships with entities such as Microsoft, HP, and Intel. In addition to participating in merger and acquisition and capital raising activities, Mr. Ratchford was a member of the deal team that managed the sale of WebTone to Fidelity National Financial, (NYSE: FNF) the nation's largest title insurance company and member of the Fortune 400.

Prior to joining WebTone, Mr. Ratchford participated in private equity activities and portfolio management as a principal with West Hill Investors in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Ratchford also served as the assistant to the chairman of Production Operators, Inc., an international oil services company, which became a subsidiary of Schlumberger Ltd., (NYSE: SLB).

In his ten years with the Central Intelligence Agency, Mr. Ratchford served in both the Directorates of Operations and Intelligence with a focus on Africa, Latin America, and Asia, where he participated in the formulation and implementation of U.S. foreign policy initiatives dealing with issues such as terrorism and insurgencies, narcotics cartels, and trade-related matters.

Mr. Ratchford graduated from Davidson College with a bachelor's degree in economics. He is involved in a variety of civic activities and currently serves as the Honorary Consul for Nicaragua in Atlanta and President of the Georgia Tennis Foundation.
